Spartan Steel builds on Community Involvement Day

On November 3, Spartan Steel Coating in Monroe held a Community Involvement Day. They chose Habitat Monroe as one of three project locations. The fourteen volunteers built on a new house on Woodland Beach (Monroe). They worked alongside Habitat staff to insulate and wrap the outside of the house and assisted with sheeting the roof, among other important tasks.

In addition to sending hard working volunteers, the company contributed much needed funding to cover the costs of building materials for the day. By Adopting their Habitat build day, Spartan Steel met two of Habitat's biggest needs.

Companies, civic organizations, and faith groups are encouraged to consider their own Adopt-a-Day with Habitat Monroe. If you are interested or have questions about the Adopt-a-Day program, please contact Carla at 734-243-2048x109 or cslamiar@habitatmonroemi.org.
