Habitat HOPE will be offering a two-part educational program on homeownership. This series will prepare participants with valuable information about the home buying process that will help them navigate the technicalities of purchasing a home and avoid costly mistakes. Participants will also receive information on state and federal programs available to assist in purchasing a home.


The classes will be held on Wednesday April 12 and 19 from 5:30-8:30PM at the Habitat for Humanity office, 14930 LaPlaisance Road, Suite 111, Monroe, MI 48161


In light of the news regarding Habitat for Humanity of Detroit, we want to ensure our donors, volunteers, supporters, homebuyers, and future homebuyers that Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County and our ReStore remain in healthy condition. Each local affiliate (Monroe, Lenawee, Ann Arbor, Detroit, and 61 others in the state of Michigan) works with an independent board of directors, staff, and budget to provide simple, decent, and affordable housing solutions within their service area. ~ M. Monroe County Community college has partnered with the IRS to provide a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site for taxpayers who earn $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English speaking taxpayers. The site is located at the Career Technology Center at 1555 S. Raisinville Road.
