Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, a ministry committed to work in partnership with God and people from all walks of life, builds simple, decent, affordable homes in our community.

Habitat partners with churches, business, government, other nonprofits and volunteers everywhere to build and sell these homes to qualified and prepared families and provide a 0% interest mortgage. Second Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser in Monroe, Saturday, August 9, 2008: Our golf outing will be held at Links at Lake Erie, 4727 LaPlaisance, Monroe, Michigan (map). Thrivent Builds in Monroe County: Monroe County Habitat affiliate received a grant for $135,850 with Monroe Thrivent Chapter and Lutheran Churches raising the 10% match of $20,900 and providing enough volunteers to build two more homes in the City of Monroe. Learn more.

The local grant is part of $20 million added to Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity International as homes are built across the nation.
